NetBox Assurance, announced at AutoCon 2 just a couple months ago, is designed to help teams maintain network and infrastructure integrity by continuously validating their operational state aligns with expected configurations. By delivering power tools for characterizing and acting on operational drift, NetBox Assurance gives teams the insights they need to eliminate drift, and the ability to proactively address issues before they lead to outages or security risks.

Over the past several months, we’ve been working closely with our design partners to refine NetBox Assurance’s capabilities, ensuring it meets the real-world needs of network operators. Now, we’re ready to expand access and gather feedback from a broader set of users as we continue to evolve the product.
A New Product In the NetBox Family
As a standalone product designed to complement NetBox, NetBox Assurance will be available as an add-on product for NetBox Enterprise and NetBox Cloud customers. This new functionality solves super valuable problems that typically require big investments in point solutions or custom-built tools. Now it will be easy to close the loop between intent and operational state in a single combined platform.
Seamless Integration with NetBox Discovery and Third Party Data Integrations
Just last month, we announced that NetBox Discovery is now available in public preview, bringing automated network data collection to the NetBox community. NetBox Assurance works seamlessly with NetBox Discovery, making it easy to ingest observations from your infrastructure to identify and fix discrepancies between the network’s observed state and its intended design. NetBox Assurance also leverages data from integrations like those we’ve recently announced for Juniper Mist and VMWare vCenter. Together, NetBox Assurance, NetBox Discovery, and the rapidly expanding set of NetBox data integrations provide a powerful, automated approach to maintaining network accuracy and reliability.
