Today, NetBox Labs is making our biggest technology and community announcements ever, with huge implications for our community, customers, partners, and the infrastructure ecosystem at large. The timing is not coincidental. This month, NetBox celebrates its 10th year as an open source project.

To celebrate this milestone, we are thrilled to announce the first-ever global conference dedicated to the NetBox community and extended ecosystem. NetBox Evolve will take place on October 13, 2026, at Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, Florida, bringing global leaders together to define the future of intelligent infrastructure. You can expect community-led talks and demonstrations, sessions focused on shared learnings, keynotes from industry thought leaders, updates on where NetBox is headed, and much more. Ten years ago NetBox left the launchpad, and we know the next ten years will see even more tremendous acceleration for this incredible project and community.

Through NetBox’s first decade, thousands of teams have grown to rely upon it as the system of record for their networks and infrastructure. In 2023, we founded NetBox Labs as the commercial steward of NetBox to scale and sustain the impact of this industry defining project. Since then, the NetBox community has exploded with momentum, we’ve rapidly expanded the open source and commercial ecosystem for teams leveraging NetBox, and NetBox has become the industry standard for infrastructure management. Now, AI is raising the stakes for infrastructure teams once again.

Over the past three years, the NetBox Labs platform has been adopted by the world’s leading companies,  including Cisco, ARM, CoreWeave, and JP Morgan Chase. We’ve shipped new products for our customers at a relentless pace – building on NetBox Cloud and NetBox Enterprise with NetBox Assurance to find and fix drift, branching and change management, and industry leading AI features like the NetBox MCP server and NetBox Copilot. Today, a third of NetBox Labs customers use multiple NetBox Labs products to model, see, act upon, and govern their infrastructure with confidence.

That brings us to today’s technology news. Today, NetBox Labs is evolving into an infrastructure intelligence platform built for both humans and agents, making it easier to manage infrastructure across every lifecycle stage – from design through end of life.Whether you’re is just starting to document or automate your infrastructure, or you’re accelerating your agentic infrastructure operations transformation, the NetBox Labs infrastructure intelligence platform delivers the critical foundations you need to operate consistently and confidently at speed and scale.

The NetBox Labs infrastructure intelligence platform is expanding today with the addition of several major new products and capabilities, including:

  • NetBox Data Exchange (NDX): The world’s largest curated database of infrastructure metadata that helps streamline management of tens of thousands of components from over 100 manufacturers spanning more than 30 years of infrastructure history. It’s a window into how fast the physical world underneath your network is changing. Learn more about NDX.
  • The NetBox Labs Platform MCP Server, along with a growing library of official agent skills: The entire NetBox Labs platform is now open to AI agents. Built-in tools cover every platform capability, while per-user authentication and change approval workflows keep data safe. Any MCP-compatible agent can now interact with the NetBox Labs platform – and the open source skill library teaches agents how to be effective with NetBox and its ecosystem. Learn more.
  • NetBox Asset Lifecycle: This native procurement pipeline is driven by the same infrastructure model your team already trusts. Think Bills of Materials, Purchase Orders, Shipments, Spares, and RMAs, with installation as a workflow against planned DCIM objects, creating a consistent data through-thread from design to end-of-life. Get access.
  • NetBox Validation: Continuous compliance auditing, pre-change safety verification, and infrastructure resilience analysis that helps infrastructure teams answer questions like “Is this change safe to deploy?” and “What breaks if this fails?” so teams can correct problems before they impact business operations. NetBox Validation ships with compliance policy packs for common frameworks like NIS2/DORA, ISO 27001, NERC CIP, and more, and it operates on intent data in NetBox enabling agents to quickly test and self-correct their infrastructure changes, resulting in critical guardrails for agentic operations. Combined with our widely used assurance and discovery capabilities for finding and fixing drift, along with dozens of other high value features and products from NetBox Labs, these major new additions make the NetBox Labs infrastructure intelligence platform the critical foundation for modern human and agentic network and infrastructure management.

The first decade of NetBox has reshaped the landscape for network and infrastructure management. The next ten years will bring even more rapid evolution as NetBox Labs delivers infrastructure intelligence for every phase of the infrastructure lifecycle, at every scale.
