Meet Chris Veith, our Vice President of Global Partnerships, who joined NetBox Labs in February 2025 after more than a decade in cybersecurity. Today, he leads a team of six focused on building NetBox Labs’ global ecosystem of technology partners, solution providers, and community members who help customers get more value from the platform and accelerate their infrastructure modernization efforts.

His role sits at the intersection of strategy, relationships, and problem-solving.

“My role is part strategy, part relationship-building, and part problem-solving. I bring together people and organizations that can accomplish more together than they could on their own.”

On any given day, that might mean shaping partner strategy, strengthening a key relationship, or working through the practical questions that determine whether a partnership delivers meaningful value for customers.

Chris was drawn to NetBox Labs by both the technology and the mission.

“Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to organizations that help bring clarity to complexity, whether that’s connecting customers with solutions, building partner ecosystems, or helping organizations navigate change. What stood out about NetBox Labs was the vision of creating a trusted foundation for infrastructure intelligence. As organizations increasingly rely on automation and AI, the quality of their underlying data becomes critical. The opportunity to help build an ecosystem around that vision, and learn an entirely new domain in the process, was something I couldn’t pass up.”

Curiosity has been a constant throughout Chris’s career. One of his first jobs after moving to Germany in 1988 was teaching English to senior executives. Rather than simply teaching, he used those conversations as an opportunity to learn about their businesses.

“They taught me their businesses in English, and I asked questions. I learned far more from those conversations than I ever taught.”

That experience shaped the way he approaches every role. Whether he’s building partner ecosystems, helping customers solve complex challenges, or learning a new technology, Chris believes the most rewarding work comes from staying curious, listening carefully, and learning from smart people.

Today, what excites Chris most is helping shape an ecosystem that’s still in its early stages.

“NetBox has become foundational infrastructure for organizations around the world, and we’re still in the early stages of what’s possible. It’s exciting to work with customers, partners, and community members who are constantly finding new ways to extend the value of the platform and transform infrastructure operations.”

That same mindset carries into the work he’s most proud of.

Rather than optimizing for the number of partners in the ecosystem, Chris and his team have evolved the global partner strategy around a simple idea: creating measurable value for customers.

“We focus on outcomes over activity, which is Keep It Simple. We put customer success at the center of every partnership, which is Community First. We hold ourselves accountable for results, which is Own It. And we work closely with partners to bring new ideas, integrations, and solutions to the broader NetBox community, which is Get It Out There.”

One of the things Chris has appreciated most since joining NetBox Labs is the company’s collaborative culture. He believes the best partnerships, whether internal or external, start with listening, and that’s something he sees reflected in the way people work across the company every day.

Chris’s own journey is a reminder that curiosity often opens unexpected doors. He grew up in West Philadelphia before studying in Virginia and building an international career that took him to Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Brazil. Along the way, he was in Berlin the night the Wall came down, earned his MBA in the Netherlands, and helped expand a telecom software business across Brazil.

“Whether it’s a new country, a new industry, or a new technology, asking questions and listening carefully often opens doors you never expected.”

Today, Chris and his wife, Sylvie, split their time between Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and The Laurentians, Quebec. A proud Québécoise and longtime software industry professional, Sylvie has been an incredible partner throughout his career.

Reflecting on his time at NetBox Labs, Chris says it best:

“It’s a company full of people who are curious, collaborative, and excited about what’s possible.”
