Build/Release Engineer (Remote – US)

NetBox Labs is seeking a skilled Build/Release Engineer with 5+ years of experience integrating, building, and packaging diverse software components for multiple delivery models including cloud and on-premise enterprise environments. In this fully remote position, you will play a critical role in managing build and release processes for our software solutions.

In this role you will: 

  • Oversee end-to-end build and release processes for both closed and open source software, with a focus on supply chain security
  • Package software for multi-modal deployments such as Docker containers, Kubernetes (Helm charts), VMs, and Linux packages
  • Implement and maintain multi-stage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other relevant tools
  • Manage our software versioning schemes and release cycles
  • Manage and distribute build artifacts, ensuring traceability and security
  • Conduct software composition analysis to identify and manage third-party dependencies, maintaining accurate Software Bill of Materials for each release
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build failures or deployment problems


You will work closely with:

  • NetBox open source team to coordinate release schedules and manage dependencies
  • NetBox Cloud teams to integrate software releases into cloud environments
  • Security, legal and compliance teams to ensure licensing and regulatory requirements are met
  • Customer success team and NetBox customers to assist with resolving escalated support tickets


It would be fantastic if you have the following experience:

  • Software development in Python, Go, or Bash
  • Industry tools such as jFrog Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus, CloudRepo, Jit
  • DevSecOps tools and practices, including package scanning and CVE management
  • NetBox and IT networking industry
