NetBox has significantly improved our network asset management by centralizing all asset types into a single, reliable source of truth. We use automated “crawlers” to continuously audit and update the network, ensuring accurate and current asset data, which is crucial for security, capacity management, and budgeting. Our custom NetBox plugin integrates AWS, Azure, and GCP assets, allowing comprehensive searches and audits across all physical and virtual assets, streamlining management and reducing manual effort. Additionally, our strategy for maintaining a detailed inventory of physical server assets in NetBox has automated and simplified capacity planning, power and cooling management, and on-site provisioning.
