Couriers

Public Preview: Asset Lifecycle is in public preview. The functionality and API surface may evolve in future releases.

A courier is a shipping provider responsible for delivering equipment ordered from a vendor. Each shipment is associated with exactly one courier. A courier may have any number of accounts, which identify specific billing relationships.

Contacts may be assigned to a courier to record points of contact for logistics, claims, or other interactions.

Fields

Name

The full name of the courier. Must be unique.

Code

An optional internal code used to identify the courier. If specified, the code must be unique across all couriers.

Tracking URL

A URL prefix to which a shipment's tracking number is appended to form a link to the courier's tracking page. When set, tracking numbers displayed in the UI are rendered as clickable links.

A default set of example couriers (UPS, FedEx, and DHL) is installed when the plugin is first migrated, each with a tracking URL preconfigured.
